Just how many of us would volunteer to treat patients in Pariaman,
set up mobile clinics in Koto Bangko, construct medical clinics in
Padang and Pariaman?
Not many, i'm sure.

For this, i salute all those who've played a part in saving the lives,
and making a difference in the lives of people,
who are less fortunate than us.

"SAF Completes Humanitarian Assistance Operations in Pariaman and Padang."







" The 54-strong SAF medical team concluded its medical operations in Pariaman today. The team, comprising orthopaedic and general surgeons, anaesthetists, general practitioners, medics and nurses from the SAF and the Ministry of Health began treating patients at the SAF's medical facility at the Pariaman Public Hospital on 4 Oct 09. The SAF team also set up a mobile medical clinic at Koto Bangko on 7 Oct 09, where they worked with TNI medical staff to provide direct medical aid and assistance to the earthquake victims in the more remote areas. In its two weeks of operations in Pariaman, the SAF medical team attended to more than 1100 Accident and Emergency cases and performed over 100 surgeries.

The SAF medical and engineering teams will return to Singapore on 18 Oct 09."

This song certainly brings back memories.
The last time i heard it was during my Primary Sch Graduation Day.

And now, as i listen to this song again,
i don't think that friends are forever.
True friends stay, the rest just come and go.
I've met many who came, and left.
Sad, but this is life.

Those friends i've made in primary sch,
2 stayed, out of a 40.
Those friends i've made in secondary sch,
maybe 5 stayed, out of 40.
Those friends i've made in NDP,
it seems like we've all drifted so far apart.

why.
i want those times back.
impossible, i know.
